how did you do the night exposure. i tried doing some and they turned out pretty grainy. I have a sony alpha 350. my aperture was at 3.5, 3200 iso (can't get it any higher), and a 68 second exposure.

here is an example. if you have any advice that would be nice.

I shot at 200 iso, F8 for :30 sec.
I then painted the forground with a surefire flash light for about 5-10 sec. of the exposer time.
You don't need High ISO if you paint with light. Give it a try.

well i just looked at your web page. awesome stuff. i am minoring in photography. i wish i could take some pictures half as good as all of those. your pics are amazing.

Thanks for the positive comments Guy's!
It's just practice, shot film for 25 years, digital is much easier, you can see what you doing in real time and make adjustments.
I do have more and will post them later when I get some time.
Got to get the kids from school and run errands.

Nope.
Just a little burning in the bottom left corner where it was a hair to hot for the rest of the image.

Here's another one from a different angle. I don't like it as much as the 1st one.
This one was lite from just the left side of the camera.

Light?

Did you use any external lighting? It's a great picture, don't get me wrong, but did you use a spot light, or studio light to bring the foreground out?
