this sucks. i found a crack on my martin jaguar. its on the top limb where the two forks on the idler wheel meet. it runs about 3/4" down the limb and is about 3/16" deep. i probably wouldnt have seen it if i wasnt looking because it is so small, but my question is what should i do? even though it is small and hardly noticeable i really dont want to keep shooting it but i dont have the money to fix it. i emailed martin so i guess ill just wait to see what they have to say. any suggestions? thanks!

My Martin Prowler SE...

... last year, had the exact same crack you described. Even when I told them that I had incorrectly pressed the bow and had not bought from my local dealer (internet dealer). On top of that, my manual said I only had a 3 yr warranty that had just expired. I was expecting and willing to pay for the fix. I believe it was Josh @Martin that said their warranty had recently been extended to 10yrs. and my bow would be covered. Martin and my local dealer took care of it under warranty for no charge. Got a new set of limbs installed in a weeks time at no cost. I guess Josh liked my honesty. It's still shooting great. Martins service is tops in my book! Don't worry they'll take care of you.:darkbeer: One suggestion I would give, would be to call and talk to someone in person. I personally just don't trust emails very much. It could be someones 5yr old kid just messing around for all the recipient of the email knows. Talking to someone in person just holds more weight. This is one reason they'll ask you to go thru a dealer as well. Good Luck!

Sorry to hear about your bow... Nice to hear Martin is taking care of these. Above and beyond! Hope they do the same for you!

Seems about all makes have had this happen I have read in the short time that I have been on AT... Not too many, but enough to remind all to check thier bows out before shooting
