I am thinking about cresting my arrows but that will add some weight....will it fly different?

I paint my shafts instead of the wraps and there was NO differance in my POI.

If you crest them with a bright color in my opinion you are asking to be nailed while hunting with them. Any movement with bright fletch or cresting will be much more visible.

I spray paint my shafts with really good success. It doesn't change impact at all. Todd

What kind of paint?...I am assuming you take the fletching off first?

Right, when they are bareshafts I clean the shafts and go over them with steel wool and then mask off the shaft you don't want paint on. I use the cheap walmart paint ($.096). It takes 2-3 light coats, but it works great. Let them dry overnight and i fletch with Loc-tite gel superglue. Works great...i've had some since last year that survived 3-d and hunting season with no problems. Todd

I spray crest alum';s but the carbons get wraps. Too much acetone on the carbons is a no no.
