Crimson Talon Cleaver has just been introduced for 2022. I was blessed to be a part of this whole endeavor and trust me when I say these single bevel heads are game changers for everyone to enjoy.

They flew out to 60 yards with field tips, and I'm sure I could do the same out even further if I tried, which I saw no need to. hair shaving sharp right out of the box. Wedge cutting single bevel tip to open up for increased penetration upon impact for the blades to smash and cut whatever is in the way. A bone smashing, ultra sharp head right out of the box for a blue collar price ,who can argue against that ???

I've tested both the 125's and the 150's. Both are lethal personified ! i'll probably use the 150's simply because I shoot a 200 spine on a 80 pound bow.

I am friendly with the owner of Crimson Talon, and not a paid puppet, mark my words, these will ROCK YOUR WORLD !

Very good questions. I did not confirm the final product. My testers were a tad unfinished compared to the picture. Tool Steel was talked about from the onset last year. Hardness I never asked, but from sharpening them, they will take a nice edge so they are "workable" to edge up. Too hard IMHO is not so good. Forget the name of the head that is so hard, you can't even place an edge on them without an act of congress.

The best thing about these is the owner isn't looking to make a killing off them and understands the blue collar hunter. These will be the most aggressively priced heads in the market,by far. Just hang in there, trust me on that.

The design looks very similar to the Grizzlystik Maasai which come in 125 and 200 gr, but have slightly different dimensions (which could account for the solid blade difference of 50 gr). I hope that's not the only real difference plus a reasonable price (Grizzlystiks are way overpiced). Will Crimson Talon be using better steel? At least use a steel ferrule, please. I do really like that shape though. Looking forward to seeing the final product.

Ok I have some updated info as these broadheads are being finalized.

420j2 steel with a hardness between 45-48 not yet finalized.
Ferrule is 7075 Aluminum ,,A2 steel ferrule is do able but increases overall weight for these 125’s and 150’s. Better to keep the blade hefty and 7075 is nothing to sneeze @.

Ok here’s the great news !!! Price !!

$29.95 a pack of 3 heads ! Who agrees this is a game changer like I do ?

That’s not a bad price for a 3 pack. Most 3 packs are gonna run you $39+.

A steel ferrule is always welcome, but look at the success of Magnus with Aluminum ferrules. Again I think they’d be even better with steel, but they still work very well and efficient.

What does the warranty on these Crimson Talons look like out of curiosity?

Also, these could be easily sharpened with the Stay Sharp Version “C” guide, I use that on my Simmons, but I’ve seen Videos of it being used on convex blades too and getting them sharper than razor blades.

I bet once you use these, you will recant that statement ! This metal is much harder than you need to destroy bone on any animal in North America.

Shooting them with a .204 Sirious apollo 200 spine with 100 grain brass insert out of a 80 pound PSE EVL 32,they are certain destruction to anything in it's path. They resharpen on any took with relative ease.

I have some updated info a few of you metal guys will appreciate. The final copy of heads that will be sold to you if you pre-ordered, the heads, blade will be made from A2 Tool Steel, same low low price !!!

Now tell me this isn't a deal to have during these heavy inflation times ? Everyone else is raising prices.

Yes there are plans and ideas on the table. But in order to invest into something, it has to prove itself from the initial offering.

I do believe these will take off very strongly as will the 150's. From there, the sky is the limit 125,150, +++.Just keep things in perspective.

I remember the original G2 Talons. I ordered a few packs to try. Blades would not hold up to the field target. Although the company replaced the blades free of charge. I could not bring myself to hunt with them and eventually gave them to someone else to test out.

I think I will pass, I will stay with Mike at Magnus. If it is not broke, why fix it.

Your money , your choice. New broadheads are for people still looking for something BETTER. These are ridiculous in cost and performance. I've seen zero in this range in this quality. I am NOT paid to say this either. Soon you will see some devastation I will post on some hogs with the durability of these heads.
