might be a dumb question, but are crossbow bolts the as an arrow shaft for a compound bow? Raw shaft that is, could I use a 2219 compound shaft where as a crossbow calls for a 2219 bolt.

Yes - that should work - they'll just be cut to the length necessary for use with yer crossbow! Worked for me!

you can often buy raw xbow length 2219 shafts and less cost than 2219 full length (which are NOT long enough to get two 20" shafts out of).

a 2216 shaft works for the vast majority of xbows on the market and "drivers" (rear inserts) are available for these. For lower weight or shorter stroke xbows, a 2213 works as well
