Crossbow string making
Does anybody out here make there own crossbow strings. I came across a old barnett crossbow without a string. There is no name on the crossbow except for the limb markings. Barnett veloci-speed glass. I am wondering how long the string should be made and how many strands of b-50 would be used.
I have searched for a couple of days now and cannot come up with any information on how to make a string. I have no idea about length and number of strands. I use 7 strands for my 50 lb bows so I was thinking about 16 strands would probably work good.
As of yet Barnett has not responded to my emails...any help would be appreciated...thanks..chuck
