I'm liking a crosshair on by BHFS scope. I have tried it with and without a pin with roughly equal results.

Grab yourself an Axcel scope with the crosshair and see how it feels. If you don't like it, grab a pin and try that. Or both!!

 

I shoot a Beiter Scope with just their crosshair insert that my wife painted orange, and I enjoy that sight picture (i.e. a thin crosshair that I can stare through into the target) much better than a standard fiber optic pin (which has to cover a portion of the target)

The Axcel crosshair has a circle in the center for a pin to sit, and wasn't able to get a comfortable sight picture with it and a pin ring or using it by itself.

Double vision won't block out your aiming, look right through at the spot.
