They look pretty sharp on that Vegas!

How well did they fit the riser? I made a set of walnut grips for my 2004; I tried them on my 2002 and on that bow the right panel had a gap of about 1/16" along the top. That has had me a little worried about whether one could make wooden grips for the Dartons and have them be trully interchangeable. The rubber grips have enough flex to hide the variations between my two bows.

yes i was surprised it actually fits pretty tight.... considering the rubber does have some flex.

That's good news...perhaps the newer risers are more consistant. I know there was a redesign between my two risers as the older one lacks provision for the VSS and it has a cutout where the current bows have the "Darton" medalion.

Looks great. I have a set of Bob's grips on my Trykon xl. He does excellent work.

Also, on the Hoyt grips, they are much more comfortable to me than the factory side plates. How do they feel on the Darton's compared to factory grips?

U cant beat the feel of these .. i honestly like the feel of a wood grip over a rubber style grip when target/3d shooting. but i also like the rubber grips when hunting -20 C weather up here in ontario.

overall the feel is awsome very smoooth.

The factory rubber grips I have are molded onto plastic backings, and the rubber does have some flex around the edges.

I, too, prefer the wooden grips. I have some spandex-like camo gloves I like to shoot with and when you combine them with the slick wooden grips it's easy to eliminate most of the torque from your grip.

those grips look pretty nice. but Darton spent ALOT of time on their grip. I like the rubber grip. never have been a fan of a wooden grip. rubber grip works well in the summer when things get hot and sweaty. my hand never slides on the rubber grip....
btw, nice looking Darton.
