How close is to close for ordering a new bow for hunting season??? I just ordered a new MR7 last week and due to the holiday(labor day) I think it want be in by Thursday or friday... need to set up and get some shots thru it to get all the kinks out of it before it gets treestand time!!!!
Archery season here in VA. starts in a few weeks

Do you guys think thats cutting it too close?

Guess it really depends on how fast you become comfortable with the new bow. When I switched to a new bow the set up was fast, it was getting used to a new bow that took longer: shorter ATA, new sight, new rest, etc.

Even if you do not have your old bow for a back up I still think that two or three weeks should be somewhat sufficient time depending on how much you practice with it. I say go for it, ITS A NEW BOW :thumbs_up

No reason with a fair bit of experience behind a bow , half a brain , and some tuning skills , a good quiver of arrows to choose from ....
8 plus hours if all works with you , if not , stay home and sort it out !

Bottom line if your not comfortable with your set up , do not bring it in the woods to kill !
