I have a 29in draw and the D loop on my VXR is about 3/4 from the string, makes it tough to get my release on the loop. What length should it be? no opposed to changed out the loop.

3/4" is a decent sized loop. There's not a set size for everyone. You need your loop to be the size it needs to be to draw with your release elbow and forearm parallel with your shoulders. Then, you can fine tune it to decrease/optimize pin float.

What release are you shooting? I would expect that to be long enough. Do you feel overdrawn or underdrawn?

I have always shot a short loop. I cannot stand a long loop on a bow. If the release allows it, I always set bows up with the shortest loop possible. Most of the time, I cut my loop material at 4 1/2 inches or shorter before burning the ends and installing.
