I just ordered a pair of these boots from Bass Pro. Am I going to be pleased with them?

They're good for the price. I had a pair that lasted almost 3 years and, as said above, the stitching came loose at the toe. Again, I think I got what I paid out of them. I couldn't afford better back then, but I just replaced them with some Acadia's. You can tell a big difference in the Danner models made over-seas and the ones made in the USA. Better, thicker leather, better stitching, etc. Danner has a better handle on the QC on their over-seas models compared to other companies, and the Pronghorns are a decent value IMO. But, the US made ones will definitely last longer. If you look at the Danner ads carefully, you'll see notations on their models made here that say "Made in the U.S.A.". Those boots also display a US Flag tag on the boot. Downside on US models - they cost more.
