Day One wool?

Can anyone tell me how they like Day One wool?
Looking for ASAT wool for cold weather use in the north east. Should I get the insulated version or use layers underneath?

I use the ASAT Wool from Day One. Gary is a great guy and easy to deal with. His clothes are quality, made in the USA.
I would recommend layering rather than insulated. I have gone both ways and layering is much more versatile.
I seldom wear the insulated pieces.
