Hello Folks,
So I'll apologize in advance as I am as green as they come on the subject. I am working from "teaching the bow to bend" and notes I have from a Tom Brown Jr (survival school) class i took 15 years ago.. Yeah, not much. Gotta start somewhere though. I have some dead (standing) ash trees at my camp and I'm wondering if i can use them. I've done some searching on the web but can't seem to find a clear answer. Also, I welcome any book, youtube, or whatever resources anyone would care to send my way. arrow resources are also very welcome.
Thanks,
Yinzer

I think the best way would be to start with green wood (live) and season it. You have control then over the drying process, and can insure the best possible base.
