As others have already stated, you have to take into account the region you're hunting. For Mass that is a good buck, now if you were hunting Iowa, not so much. You can't hunt/kill what's not there. Although, if you know there are bigger deer in the area, it certainly makes it a lot easier to pass smaller deer.
A fully mature Mass deer could have a 100" inch rack but be just as smart and hard to kill as a Midwest deer of the same age with a 150" rack. The only difference being genetics and access to quality food that the Midwest deer would have.
