I have recently gotten permission to hunt a woods that is surrounded by sorgum fields. Im just curious if anyone on here has ever hunted on or around one and if the deer crave it as well as cattle do. It only makes sense that they would but i figured i would see what everyones thoughts are on it. so post away with your thoughts

If you have a early season it will be good.I plant some every year but they won't touch it untill the heads turn brown.Mine is usually all gone by oct when season opens, but I have wheat and oats next to it.

I have planted milo for a food plot and the deer ate it all winter until every head was clean. I would think they would eat sorghum the same. Only difference I see is sorghum is a lot taller and they would have to knock it down to get at it, but deer usually find a way to get at something they want.
