deer mix up

was hunting sunday and mixed up a doe and a fawn in a millet field and was sure i was shooting at the doe but it wasnt and shot and killed the fawn, it still had very faint spots on it, i was pretty upset but i guess it happens from time to time.

true, the tenderloins were so soft they just pulled away from the ribcage. Besides my pregnant wife has developed a new vigor for deer meat

i took a whole hind quarter and smoked it cave man style was very good, felt like beating my chest :):tongue::tongue::tongue:

Samething happened to my brother-in-law. He jokes about it. He says every body else walking out of the butchers had boxes full of meat. His was in a shoe box. He also jokes he didn't need help getting it out of the woods.
