I’ve got a 28 ft wide back wall with a vault. 9ft side peaked up to 12.5ft. Yeah big wall. I’ll have 3 shoulder mounts to hang and would like to hang them on that wall. I have a back bank of lights that shine down from the ceiling 16 inches away from the back wall. So they would present well. Being I only have three deer to display at this point I’m curious if y’all have any advice on location within the wall. And how high. It feels like three deer will not fill the wall and look dwarfed in comparison. So how high and should I spread them out from tue peak? 2 130 inch deer and a tall tined 160. Amy pics would be great. Thanks.

I think I would do a backdrop of barn wood French cleated to the wall as wide as the 3 deer display maybe 9 ft wide giving each deer about 3 feet and hang the deer on that. Make it more of a complete display and art type piece. I did barn wood behind my single deer display and it gives it a lot more of a proper display and finished look. Or.....do the barn wood behind each to give them more visual weight and split them up to where the lights shine on them.

Wish I had that problem....I just don't have room, not because I am stone cold killer, because I have a small house. I do have 5 shoulder mounts, a pedestal mount, 8 euros, and three skull cap plaques scattered about. Will be finishing the 3/4 of the basement this summer, but the ceiling will be low, like less than 7', so I don't know what will be going on.

I wouldn't overthink your situation and I wouldn't mount them so high that you reduce their impact. Could always invest in a couple of canvas prints to accompany the mounts to soak up some space. Visited a guys place who had 24x18" canvas prints with hero shots of each buck. Looked cool and as he explained, as he added more trophies to the wall he simply moved the prints. Seemed logical and looked sweet. Didn't snap any pics, that would have been weird.

LOL, trust me, I'm no big buck expert. The most important thing to shooting bigger deer is to go where they are. Three are from IA, two are from MN. All but the smallest were public land deer so available to anyone.
