Hello,

Man can you beleive it's almost that time again!!!
I took this guy last year. It is my best buck with my bow to date. I just got lucky that he came by.I hunt public land here in Illinois.
Expectations for this year is to fill both my chest freezers again this year..I'm down to barely having any meat left again. I hunt for the sport of it and for the meat mostly.I just truely love being in the woods hunting..
Go team 8!!!

What are the chances!! Myself and my wife (holly) are on the same team. I was also on team 8 last year.
Count myself and holly as checked in.

My season starts Sept 1st in N Dakota. Than holly and I start in Wisconsin Sept. 16th.

I shot a 131 7/8in 9pt last season and a doe. Hope I can manage to top that this year.

Holly did not get a buck last year but shot several does. She is a good shot with a new bow this year. (Tribute) We have several shooters on the land we hunt. So hopefully we both will score on a nice buck.

The picture is of the 6 by 9, 29 1/4 in outside spread, mule deer that I shot opening day in Wyoming. I went out there with my dad and brother-in-law to hunt with my grandparents.

I will tell everyone right now that I am not a seasond hunter. But I will tell you that I will bust my butt to get at least 50 points for the team.

Their will be alot of trash talking from other teams. Don't sweat it. All the other teams will have inexperenced archers on their teams. If we can get 10 does shot out of the 15 members on our team we will have a great chance of winning the contest. Does are what wins the contest. Hopefully we have 15 hunters that hunt hard, and are willing to stay in contact during the contest. I love to hear everyone's story's of days and week hunts. This contest is for fun, you only get in return, what are willing to give. I plan on min. giving reports of hunts week by week. Unless I have a great night or saw a huge buck.
