I'm from central FL, do most of my hunting about an hour south of Columbus, GA. I've got several nice bucks from last year I let walk that should be good shooters this year. Season starts Sept. 9th  going up this weekend to do some plowing/scouting.

i just did a search on all the members of our tea and it looks like we are gonna have a pretty good team i feel we have no members on our team that are gonna forget about the contest or the sight and for a name i liked the suggestion whitetails and blood trails and for my one i was thinkin about buck busters but i suck at thinking up names so pick whatever name the rest of you guys like i really don't care

oh and good news i went out to check my trail cam last night and the batteries had just gone dead and i figured they would be so i brought some cheap batteries with me because i couldn't find the pack of duracells i had and i have a memory chip in my camera so i had to bring it in and put the chip in the computer to see what it had for pictures and i had a couple nice 6pts. on it but when i was getting the chip out i figured i would look one more time for my duracells when i came to check the chip and if i couldn't find them i was gonna put in the cheap batteries whell when i went in i found the duracells so i was got on the four wheeler to go back out and put the memory chip and the batteries in the camera but when i came up over the hill i looked over onto the neighbors and i saw a deer so i turned around and drove the four wheeler back and got my binoculers and when i came back there was two deer so i put my bino's up on 22 power (they were along ways out) and watched them one was a fork horn and the other was a really nice 10 pt and i watched them feed for about 20 minutes in a alfalfa field before they walked into my woods and they went right in by the doug road i would have to drive my 4 wheeler on to get to the trail cam but i didn't want to spook the deer so i stayed out of there so now my camera is out and it has no batteries and no chip in it i'll probably go out tonight and out the batteries and chip in

oh and hopefully that big 10pt. will walk by my stand on opening day which i think is sept. 15 but the wi dnr changes the rules so much they wait till right before season opens to put out the regulation books so i won't know for a while yet they wait so long because they can never agree on what rules to put in the books

Here in my area of NC, bowseason opens Sept. 11th... I can use the bow all through muzzleloader (on my land) and through rifle season.... basically until the season ends on Dec. 23d.

I'll miss the 1st week of deer season b/c I'm going on an elk trip to Colorado. Gotta help my elk team win this year!
