new to archery. i have a mathews MR7 with a mathews downforce rest, my draw length is 28.5. everything im seeing is telling me to get them cut to 1 inch past the arrow rest, but have seen a few things saying it should be longer than the riser. looking for advice on what i should cut the arrows to! thanks

I have my arrows cut so they tip is equal to the front of the riser, that way the broadhead is in front of the riser.

If you are shooting broadheads, 1inch in front of the riser is a safe idea. If you just shoot field points they, theoretically, just need to be able to clear the rest without the risk of falling off if you overdraw.

I don't hunt, so I cut my arrows so they fit the weight I want them to be.
