Difference in CX Maxima Shafts?

676 Views 11 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  J-Daddy
I'm not up on all the specs on the Carbon Express shafts so what's the exact difference between the CX Maxima and the CX Maxima 3-D Select Shafts?
I'm looking for some new arrows for light 3-d and hunting this year.
Not really interested in the Maxima Hunters just looking for the difference between the Maxima & 3-d Selects.

Selects are a little tighter tolerance, not needed for what you are doing, go the regular maxima route and save the extra cash for something else.

Regular Maximas are .0025 straightness

Select are .0010 straightness

You will never know the difference.

Thanks for the answer man...I figured that's what it was. I looked on their site but didnt see the straightness listed on there the other day. I think I'll stick with the regular Maxima 350 when I order some more.
yep there closer in straightness and spine select also, i found a deal on some so i picked them up, not like i need them but the price was GREAT and about the same or less as ive bought maxima hunters for LOL
Is the weight the same on the standard Maxima & the 3-d select?? My price is close between the 2 shafts "like $5 difference per dozen" so I might do with the 3-d selects since the tolerances are better on them.
I have never setup a MORE EXACT arrow then the 3d selects. Im shooting them for...well 3d lol and just putting them together b/c playing with weights and fine tuning and then all came in under .2 of a grain in weight and so close in spine i couldnt believe it.

AWESOME arrow.
heres the info on the CX Maxima 3D selects

South Shore Archery is about the cheapest I have found on shafts he will spine check and weigh each shaft and index the spine with a nock and all shafts come with free wraps for the same price you can get them anywere else.

yes there same, there just the hand picked and best of the best, if you will, for $5 difference get them, its well worth it for that little difference in price
Thanks for the info...As far as getting them from SouthShore Archery, I get a partial sponsership through Carbon Express so I get a good deal on them...I doubt he can come close to the price they cost me.
Ok then I want in on this LOL needs me some MAX selects
