DIY Chronograph Light Kit?

Has anyone done a DIY LED light kit for their Shooting Chrony? I have access to the materials to do one, just want to see some confirmation that someone has done it and it has worked. If you have any pics or info, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Do different chronographs respond to the light kits differently? I have a Shooting Chrony Beta if it makes any difference.

I tried mine already. No go.

I'll attempt the light kit this weekend.
