First, let me start this off by saying that I am in no way shape or form trying to invade someone's spot or area. But what I am asking for is some general info about both Wildlife Areas as I am planning on doing my first DIY out of state hunt next year. I have been looking over aerial maps at a bunch of areas and these two seem to have caught my eye the most since they both seem to be large tracts of land and I have heard that there has been some nice bucks taken out of both. Whichever one I choose I will go and scout it this winter/spring for next season to look for all the key components. But if anyone here has experience with either one of these areas I would be very grateful if you could give me some insight on these areas, what to expect, hunter pressure, and maybe point me in a general direction. Thanks for any and all help!

There are nice bucks taken everywhere in Ohio and lots of pressure everywhere, IMO the pressure has really gotten out of hand the last 5 years on public. Pick whichever one you like better. Call the DNR manager for each and get some real info. You won't get much info on here I don't think.

I do know Egypt Valley is mostly reclaimed strip mine lands and has lots of autumn olive thickets and steep highwalls from the mining. good luck.

I've spent some time scouting both. Egypt really caught my eye for the size and remote areas. There us a nice nice funnel that I wanted to check out. It was about a mile from the road. I hung a camera there for about a month. Apparently the funnel caught the eyes of many. I had two groups of 2 packing gear in and also one lone guy. Did get a nice 140ish 10pt but that pressure deterred me from the 3 hour drive
