Your right about the satisfaction...I was able to take a buck this year with a bow I re-strung and tuned myself with the press I built.

Good job on the press...hopefully there are many elk down from bows out of that press!

Finger mods.

Fabricated short limb adaptors. Works great. 3/8 " flatbar cut to to desired shape and welded to sleeve. Two full turns of the handle and she's done.

Yup...Run the jack up high first, set it and let her down. It all seem to work out.

What do you use on the limb adapt to keep them from maring the finish on your limbs?

For now.....small stripes of rubberized electrical tape until I go to town and get some leather scrapes from local saddle maker.
