Do you cut or clear a trail to your stand?

I mow paths pass the front of my ladder stand about a month before they sometimes follow these and I use a route that does not put me near any of them and clear sticks on my path that I use but I don't cut my path.

once they found the other paths they seem to use them but it is not a sure thing. I do the same out front of my box blind and they seem to follow them as well I have a game camera on a couple of them to see what is traveling on them...
