Always now....after 12 stiches in my thumb and 4 in my index finger when a Muzzy slipped when screwing it on to a shaft about 15 years ago. I cringe anytime I see someone screw broadheads on with bare fingers. I know why deer die so quickly from archery wounds....the amount of blood from my thumb and finger was astounding!~
I've had my share of cuts that needed stitches and have decided that I really don't find it all that pleasant. I'm also a klutz, so I know I would eventually cut myself.
.
Yep. They are cheap; emergency room isn't. I use the wrenches that come with most of my broadheads or an AMG/Allen (style) broadhead wrench. You can get an AMG/Allen wrench for $1 off Ebay, but some smaller archery shops give them away. That's where I got mine.
