i just replaced my string and on the old string i always like to inspect and tear them apart when i take off the served part it is always in pretty good shape vs the string that was exposed. it got me to thinkin does anyone serve their entire string and cables so none of the actual string is exposed? it would protect it a lot better but the only draw back i can think of is if you do get a broken strand or any kind of issues under the serving you cant see them. and the extra weight might slow your arrow down, only a few fps i suppose tho. what are ya'lls thoughts??:darkbeer:

I believe you would lose a LOT of speed. And I imagine the serving would separate on the parts that are under the most stress during the shot.

Im not going to say you couldnt, but I wouldnt.Typically serving is used in wear/abrasion areas.Strings will still wear as the fibers actually rub together.
People dont realize your string is working even when your not shooting it.
