does shootng a whisker biscuit affect accuracy

Id say if they are worn enough, they could effect accuracy. I also think a well broken in one would be better than a new one, as long as your vane were all going thru the same spot. They would eventually clear a little path and be almost like shooting a Hostage rest. JMO

Hey quick question on the whisker, Im looking for a rest for my daughters soon to be purchased Mission Menace. Would it ok to use this rest type on a lower draw weight and short draw length bow?? Im simply interested due to the full containment of the arrow so there's not as much worry about the arrow moving around too much while she draws.

Thanks

You won't see anybody shooting a WB in competition but it is more than accurate enough for hunting. It's arguably the best hunting rest ever made.
So, yes, it affects accuracy. Agreed.

I just put one on my daughters bow, its 21" dl and 20lbs at the moment and works fine.

I honestly cant tell any difference in my groups out to 60yds using the WB. I used drop aways for about 5 yrs and I just made the switch to a WB and I am happy I did. I do notice that follow thru is more important using a WB versus a drop away. Anyone care to comment more on this?

this is why i ask im not talking is it good enough i mean at 20 yards could it mean the difference between a ten and a X. there a great hunting rest and for youth i believe they would be amazing but i want do some target over the winter and 3-d next year and i want to know how much it would effect my shooting

Best choice of rest for your daughter...

If you're concerned about competition scores and a 12 vs. a 10, go with a drop away. If you want a rest for hunting that is nearly bullet proof and stupid proof, go with a WB.

The WB is not just for beginners and youth. It is the only rest I've shot and I have no reason or desire to switch. It has no moving parts which is what I'm not crazy about when it comes to drop aways. They look too fragile.

Awesome, thanks for the reply's!!! One more question as I know nothing about these. Im looking at the BPS catalog and they show a few different models within Trophy Ridge, Im guessing the difference is just the adjustability??? What is going to be missing on a $40 WB rest versus a $90 WB rest? And would we miss it?

And to the OP, I hope im not totally hijacking your thread here, just saw a W.B. thread and thought it would be a good opportunity to ask a couple ??'s
