Don't shoot the Switchback!!

Unless you have room in your bow stable for one more!! I've shot several of the new 05 Bowtechs, 04 bowtechs,Outback, ovation, Lx, Xtec, Ar-34 and many more but nothing that I have ever shot can compare to the feel of the Switchback. In one word " AWESOME " so if your not ready to part with 640.00 of your hard earned dollars, trust me, "do not shoot this bow" not even once!! Of coarse, you paper shooting spotties may not appreciate the beauty of this little gem but us 3d'en / hunting types will have to have one, count me in. Oh, bye the way, anyone looking for a x-tec :D

acso 14 is going to the pro shop today to shoot that other bowtec. I will say if there is a bow available to shoot he will shoot it. Looks like this thread has the bow bees buzzing. Hay acso 14 drop the AR logo by your name you don't have that one anymore.
Yeah your right, I do need to get a new avatar. Maybe I can get ole sagecreek to hook me up with one of them fancy Jobs :) Well boys, Just got back from shooting the Allegiance and I must say that bowtech has a nice product in this bow. It seemed to draw much smoother than the Defender that I shot the other day and was smoking fast. Here's a few #'s from today, 350 gr arrow at 29" draw 60lb showed 294 fps on the chrony, 335 gr arrow 60lb 29" draw 305 fps, 335 gr at 70lb 29" 323 fps, 546gr 70lb 29" 258fps and a 350 gr arrow70lb 29" 311fps. The bow had factory silencers and one brass nock on the string. I have not shot the S/b thru the chrony but I imagine that the Allegiance is faster. However, the Switchback was quieter, had less recoil and held better than the bowtech (all personal opinion) The Allegiance had some kick in the bottom limb which made the bow feel like it wanted to jump out of your hand, a Lore stabilizer tamed that issue very well and made the bow much more enjoyable to shoot. The cams were smooth with a lot of weight up front that gradually goes away as you proceed thru the draw cycle to a solid wall and comfortable valley. With all this being said, in my personal opinion, the Switch is still the smoothest bow that I have ever shot!! :D

Cool...thanks for the data. Looks like the old Lx may be going into retirement. :D
Got a nice new cocobolo grip ready to go.
Looks like acso14 had a very good test session with the Allegiance. His numbers are VERY VERY close to mine :) I'm sure glad I chose the 60 pound Allegiance this year for my huntin' chors :D I did put on Limb Savers on mine and I'd put it up against any bow now for silence

 :D :p Too funny!

I think the cocobolo is a special TDA wood grip similar in shape to a Shrewd. Gotta do something about those grips ya know...
Yep, I know thedarkarcher made wood grips but didn't realize that they were cornholio grips...... or whatever..... :D

He's got a really good grip........ I shook his hand once or twice...... ;)

Oh yeah TDA...... remind me to tell you about Augusta at the show. ;)

Well, I bet my daddy can beat up your daddy. :D
thedarkarcher,

I wasn't looking to start anything, but who the hell are you? I mearly stated MY OPINION, which I'm intitled to. I wasn't bashing anything, or anyone.

Why dose it bother you so if I don't care for the bows Mathews produces? Just take a look at ALL the Outbacks up for sale all of a sudden, and it kinda makes my case, dosen't it? Some just can't wait to jump at the "NEWEST" toy out there, which is fine with me, as I said, to each his/her own.

I'm glad that "most of you" have shot bows from ALL the vendors. Who cares? I've shot several in my day too.

This is the same garbage I see on ArcheryWorld. Someone states their opinion about something, and the putdowns, and slamming, and name calling begins. I didn't say the Switchback was a turd, I just said Matt could sell a turd with a string. Some are that blinded by brand loyalty, which I find laughable.

Please inform me as to when I, and Hoytbows#1 could possibly join your self appointed elitest group, who apparently knows all, and see's all.

On second thought, don't bother.
