a local archery guy set me up last year, but after reading on AT. my arrows stick past my qad like 3" at least. is it worth cutting them down? i shoot rages with a 27dl. will taking a couple inches off help me as far as speed or anything else? is it worth it?

I dont think I would cut them down using broadheads, I leave mine long so I dont cut my fingers off or have any other accidents. I use another setup for 3D.

I wouldn't bother. Your only going to take off 1 1/2 inches. You really won't gain anything worth while.

It depends. If your arrows are properly spined for their current length you could actually ruin your tune by cutting them down.

I leave mine a little long. Just for piece of mind.

Yes, leave them.

Sounds like th guy knew what he was doing, leave them long, I would be willing to bet you will regret cutting them if you do. The longer arrows are inherientaly more accurate, than cut right at the rest.
