Got a double
The doe came out early, 6:15, sniffed my climbing stix, and stomped once, didnt want her to blow the deal for the bucks I have been seeing in this area, and I wanted to get some vittles so I shot her at 12 yards, she went 80 yards and piled up.
The buck came out at 7:00 with another mid 120's buck, he covered about 60 yards in 30 minutes and I shot him at 45 yards, he went 30 yards and piled up just inside the timber. He had some ground shrinkage but he also had some neat junk, couple small kickers and drops and a forked brow. I also thought that he was 4.5 and the buck that was with him was 3.5, but now im not so sure, I think the buck that was with him was just a dandy 2.5 yr old. Im still glad I took him, nice buck, but the season is over for me
