I have worked in a couple of shops and the arm span /2.5 works on a lot of people but it really should be the starting point. My self for instance I shoot 30.5 and I have a 76/75 wing span. That puts the 2.5 thing just about right on the money for me. but I,ve seen thos the it sipmly didn't work for. I think ther are losts of factors, form, shoulder width, and finger length all play into ones arm span vs draw length.
How do you measure draw length accurately. You can take an arrow and draw it and then have someone mark it at a reference point and then you can try and figure out exactly where the throat of the grip is and then you can try to add 1.75" and so forth and so on. But it seems that there is at least 1/8" or more of error in a measurement.
