how come every time i draw in the rain or when its cold my cable guard makes a terrible sliding noise??? anything i can do to fix it????

It happens to all of us sooner or later. The best remedy I've found is to shoot a Martin bow with the shoot through cabling system, where the slide and rod are totally eliminated. Barring that the next is to get a "white" teflon cable slide made by Simms or others.

Clean your rod with alcohol and lube it with nothing.

I used a 'black' string wax...Black Lightning or something like that.

It worked great. Hard to find but it was the only wax that I found worked for me.
