Hey i was wondering when i change my poundage on my bow does that effect anything else on the bow? Do i need to do anything else after i up my weight? Is it just turn the screw and that is it?

It may sound weird but new to the sport...
Thanks...:)

To my understanding[someone correct me if I am wrong]on a single cam setup the nock point will change slightly when you change the draw weight, but a true dual cam will not. I don't think a binary will change either.

Two limb bolts.

Top limb bolt.
Bottom limb bolt.

Use the appropriate size hex key
and rotate the limb bolt to change the draw weight.

Ideally,
rotate both limb bolts the same amount.

When you play with the draw weight,
you will affect how the arrow flies.

Not only in speed,
but also in how well the bow energy
matches the stiffness of the arrow.

There is a sweet spot.

Too much bow energy,
then your arrow groups will grow larger (less accuracy).

Too little bow energy,
then your arrow groups will grow larger (less accuracy).

would the sights be affected? Do i need to re-sights the bow after the change?
If you make any changes,
the sights can be affected,
and it is a good idea to double check
your sight settings.

Move your d-loop...check sight settings.

Move your peep sight...check your sight settings.

Move a limb bolt ( one or both)....check your sight settings.

Raise your arrow rest a skosh....check your sight settings.

Lower your arrow rest a skosh...check your sight settings.

Adjust your sight bubble to read dead center,
when your bow is vertical....check your sight settings

Change from one stabilizer to another stabilizer..check your sight settings

Change from one style arrow rest to a different style arrow rest...check your sight settings.

Change the draw length setting...check your sight settings.

Change from brand X arrows to brand Y arrows...check your sight settings.

Change from 85 grain field points to 100 grain field point...check your sight settings

Change from 4-inch Duravanes to 2-inch Blazers...check your sight settings.

You get the idea.
