Does anybody know ANYTHING about drilling and tapping wooden risers for sights/rests? Kinda iffy on whether I really want to do it. I must be able to buy the threaded insert somewhere, but I'm not sure if there is a certain height/distance to drill at or just eyeball it to what looks about right.

Search their site for "inserts for wood".They have several different types.The standard mounting screws that come with a sight are a 10-24 thread.As far as installing the inserts it is a pretty easy process.The correct drill size for the insert is usually stamped on the insert itself(depending on manufacturer).If you do acidentally drill the hole too big ,some 24 hour epoxy can fix it right up.Use your sight bracket as a template.Work slowly and as accuratley as possible and you should have no problem.Same goes for the rest insert.Good luck
