Will you waist your time hunting if Deer cast says it is just ok or poor conditions for movement?

Been out several times when it said poor. Saw plenty of animals. Don't put a lot of stock in stuff like that, although I do look at it. Thing is, when you have time, hunt. What does it matter if a model says it's a bad or an excellent day? Would you rather sit on the couch?

I've played with it a little bit, mostly because I get sunrise/sunset moonrise/set and pressure/temp all in one screen vs a couple different weather apps. Went out a week or so when it was only "ok" and heading downhill from there, saw 15+ deer, 5 bucks, 1 nice shooter. Its a nice app, gives some good info, but its not the end-all-be-all of info. Every property is different and there is no way to account for that. Hunting pressure, food, cover, etc all play into how/when deer move, along with weather conditions.

The ex used to tell me I wouldn't see any deer before heading out. Never heard it all with the door closing while she was talking. The app is good for wind/temp/pressure the rest I don't bother with.

LOL, no I am not wasting time with that app. Excuse me if I'm not going to rely on a guy who's never set foot in my neck of the woods to tell me when the deer are going to be moving. I'll just rely on my own eyes and brain for that, thanks though. Mark (Drury) was hawking the crap out of it on a Wired To Hunt podcast, talking about how it's going to be the greatest tool ever, and he really sold me on NOT getting it.

The more I play with the app the more I feel its just another Drury marketing play at least how they are selling it once it becomes a pay service hopefully the paid version will offer something actually useful other than just a weather app

I like to look at it just to see the weather part of it showing pressure, average high compared to the actual temp and the sunrise and set times. Other than that, havent found it to be crazy accurate. Had some good days be crap and poor days be good (in my book). Mostly look at HuntStand

I have it and have found that in early season it was pretty good, like in September, now in late October pretty much everyday is a good hunting day so I don't pay attention to it. It said poor last Thursday yet I saw 6 does and 3 bucks, not what I would call a poor day. Your phones weather app is just as good, your cameras are probably even better.

That's what it is.... Outside of the Drury video content which you may or may not enjoy, it's a weather app. That's what Mark and the others have said that it is... Yes, they have a logarithm that places priorities on conditions that may influence deer movement, but they have said that it is basically an app that takes all of the data that you could get from different places and puts it on one screen for you. Mark and Terry were the first ones to say that this is not a magic end all app, and it does not factor in conditions that are specific to your hunting area. I like it because it makes it easy to check everything, but I am not going to make a decision about my hunting property just based on the rating that it gives you, and the Drury crew would never tell you to do that.

Will you pay $20 per year for it?
