dumb quick question

getting ready to purchase my first bow. I'm guess I'm going with the Quinn's Archery TQ Comet recurve in 35#. Now for the question: Will the form and aiming technique I use on a recurve be the same as I would use on a longbow? I want to eventually get a longbow for hunting after I learn proper form and how to aim.
