I bought a used Rambo from a longtime hunting partner a few years ago and it is fine, but would not pay full price for a new one. Their cart is really nice though and I am glad I bought mine. Join an ebike forum on FB or other social media platform and sift through the reports of issues, repairs and CS of various brands. One guy with a good one doesn't mean the brand is great.....same as one guy with a lemon doesn't make the brand all bad.

Before you purchase and ebike, make sure you have a grasp of local, state and federal rules about using them on public ground. In Mi, it is pretty much limited to private property and public roadways. Anything that is off limites to ORV is inclusive of ebikes as well. That limits access and cut way down on options for using my Rambo where I could really benefit from it.

Where do you put the pull behind cart in your Jeep? I was thinking of selling my ATV so I could ditch the trailer and use a bike rack but not sure where I'd put the cart.

You can try the Bakcou Mule, it’s been great for hauling gear and game out of the woods. It's a bit above the $4k mark, but worth every penny. It can pull a game cart with no issues, and the power assist is a huge help on hills. Performance in rough terrain is solid, and the build quality is excellent. As for the models you're looking at, just make sure they have the torque you need for pulling loads.

smidge more than what you want, but makes the bakcou mule look like a toy motor power wise

You would be better in the long run to build your own. Pick a fat tire bike you want. You can order that same Banfang motor Bakcou uses. Get it setup.
All the “hunting” e-bikes most shops won’t work on. If they don’t sell it, they won’t touch it. Then you have buisness that sell them, but won’t work on them or you have some young tech person.

Also I can only speak for Bakcou; you cannot put studded tires on them. So if there is ice under the snow. Good luck. Let the bike sit.
Also their tires are not full fat tires. Go look at a Trek Farley.
Had a Bakcou Mule, sold it. Bought a Trek Farley. For under 2/3 the money. Not only the bike, but have a complete studded tires. Just swap them out. Then you can go tubeless. Saves a TON of weight. Can’t do it with a “hunting” ebike.

In my area the classifieds are full of “e-bikes”. They seem cool at first. Then most try to sell them.

Build your own. This is a Mongoose fat bike. Aluminum frame. Models are Dolomite ALX(from walmart) Argus Trail (dealers or amazon) or Argus TRX (online also) Buy the kit from amazon and build it yourself. I did go with a "branded" cart as it was also aluminum and would mount to the bike or used as a hand cart. I used this bike out west on elk hunts and also in KY and GA on whitetail hunts. Total cost all in was 1800 and It's got twice the components as a "branded" e bike with probably much more performance from a mid drive. The closest thing to my bike that I would recommend is the M2S all terrain ultra AT. mid drive. All Terrain Ultra HT - With Bafang Ultra 1500 Watt Mid Drive Motor

Here's a couple shots of my bike. Second Picture is of initial build. I removed the gun holders and added suspension seat post. Also Added a homemade fender and larger rear cassette for low range.
BBSHD motor and will climb like a goat.

I have a video of the components on youtube.

There is such a thing as an 'electric mountain bike'??? Oh my goodness! 😧 Typical mountain bike riders hate Ebikes like trad archers hate crossbows. Now there is a hybrid somewhere in the gray area like a compound?? What is this world coming to??? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I picked up a Puckipuppy on black Friday. Was able to break it in this past weekend. I already had a hawk game cart that I turned into a trailer. I killed a deer and a pig Friday evening. Put both of them on the cart and made the 2.5 mile trek back to camp pretty easy. Going to make a few more modifications as I use it more to make carrying stands easier. I strap my bow on my pack to carry into the woods.
