"If you're concerned that your Easton bow square might be inaccurate"

I guess I really posted this to see if someone that was familiar with this known issue with this square could tell me more about it.. I think the complaint in the thread I posted above was that the measurements started at the back edge of the square rather than the at the string, which is a 3/8" difference. (Like in the diagram you posted) I didn't know enough about the use of the tool to know if this was a concern. I guess that was my question. People were returning this item to get a different brand that starts measurement at the string. There were also the same complaints posted on Amazon reviews.

I should have made a easier first tool purchase. :) I knew I should have gotten that bow press first! Haha

What measurement were they attempting? Brace height? Nock height? If they were trying to make a brace height measurement with the Easton bow square's clips attached the bowstring, that is incorrect.

Pretend this part of your bow square is a simple 12" ruler. Place the 0" end against the deepest part of the bow's grip,

and with the square held perpendicular to the bow string, make a measurement of brace height.

BTW, If you post photos clearly showing both sides of your bow square with it's markings, we can probably tell if there is anything wrong with it.
