Hi guys, with some hernia and abdominal pain, I am finding the excal a bit hard to get back without pain

What is an easy drawing compound crossbow?

Would like to avoid the crank system if possible but something lower poundage with high letoff would be ideal. I thought of the 110# limbs on the scorpyd deathstalker? I don't need a speed machine...300FPS is plenty for me...

Good models out there??

I agree. My Dagger has a 10” stroke and the cams let off some just before the string catches the latch. Very easy to cock.

Good luck with the hernia. Just got mine fixed a week ago, so I’m out of action for a bit. Most any compound crossbow will be easier to finish the draw than a recurve (but more work early in the draw). There are a few nice Missions in the classifieds right now at good to decent prices unless you want to splurge and buy something new.

Never did I write built in hand crank, Read the post scrappy, Excalibur had the cocker roo back in the 80s. Horton before they went belly up had a hand crank that strapped to the butt stock,Parker had the side winder.

SOOOO yes most have a hand crank :cow:

You should have stated available. Most crossbows do not come with a crank. Thus most crossbows do not have a crank that people own. I bet for every crossbow out there with a crank there are 10 without. And a lot of today's bows don't even have a crank available or they are not yet on the market.

I have the Mission Sub-1 lite. I'm an old guy and can cock the Sub-1 with no problem. I highly recommend this bow. It's quiet, accurate and easy to,cock.

Or a Mission MXB Sniper Lite...or Excalibur Vixen II.

I can actually cock the Sniper with my hands..no cocking rope necessary. Though I believe you'd need to "fool" the anti-dryfire device in order to let it down.
The Vixen II, like all Excaliburs, can be let down without shooting.
I have one in pristine condition if yet interested?

I have both a Sub 1 and a Mission Sniper Lite. The Sniper Lite is even easier to cock than the Sub 1. If you are OK with the Sniper Lite's 300 fps, that would be my choice for a super easy crossbow to cock. Used Sniper Lites come up here from time to time. Mission stopped producing them last year.
