Just thought i would show my version. Seems like the trickiest part on presses is welding or the fingers. This one works great on my three bows: dominator, specialist, and apex. Probably wont work on all bows because lack of adjustment, but everything minus the harbor freight jack was purchased at lowes. 3/4 square tubing is what i used for my very basic fingers.
Could do everything with a hacksaw and drill but i used a metal chop saw. Took about 90 min. I was going to use grade 8 bolts and put more bracing on, but would of been over kill. The wide leg braces really help with removing all wobble.

Yes, washers would work or there is 1" square tubing at lowes that would space it out more. I used some 3/4" campershell foam on the fingers wrapped with duct tape to protect the limbs. I was afraid the bow might slip, but after just barely tightening it, i can lift the whole jack up by the bow. The dense foam compacts and forms to the different limbs like custom fingers. Although im am very happy with the outcome, the dyi bug is making me want to improve it and i may go with custom fingers like the others here....
