Looking for some info on this bow. Have done a seach but have not found what I'm needing. Looking for speeds of a 28" DL with draw weights between 55-60 with an arrow weight of 375-400 grains. Also heard that there is not much of a valley. Is this correct.

I shoot mine for 3d and I get 286 out of a 350 grain fatboy at 64 pounds. My draw is 26.5.
I was used to shooting Spiral cams so I used the draw stops to take away some of the valley. It felt like it had a reasonable amount of valley to me.

457 grain @280 with 29/70 or 303 with 378 grain.

The amount of valley will depend all on how you tune it. I tuned mine to the 3rd dot and it had a nice valley, but at max lbs around 72 lbs. I lost a little bit of the valley when I backed off the limb bolts to shoot at 66 lbs. I ended up installing 65 lb limbs to get the same valley back at that poundage. The GT500 is a great bow if you have it tuned right.

After tweaking and tuning I'm getting 277 with a 420 gr arrow and 314 with a 300 gr arrow. This put my IB0 at 341, and this is @ 60.3# and exactly 28" dl. I couldn't imagine a better preforming bow that shoots so well.

love mine 28 62 with 300 grain arrow 310,not as fast as i think it should be,but its not slow by any means and man does it shoot like a dream,valley is fine for me,im tuned on middle dot and 79% let off.first bow i have shot two hunting seasons in a row in a long time.

Like others have said. If you have a valley issue it can be corrected. They can be a bit touchy, but once they are right, they are REALLY nice.

Forgot to mention tuned to the 3rd dot I also have lots of valley, more than my synergy and more than alot of the newer bows I've shot have, really shooter friendly.

Mine is also tuned to the third dot. I moved out my draw stops a bit, and I have lots of valley.

Draw is great. Wall is rock solid. Valley fine, no issue at all. I shoot 28" 60# with Maxima 250's with 100 gr tips = 363 gr. I have no idea what speed I'm getting, but it's plenty. I find this bow a great combo of easy draw, forgiving ATA and BH and plenty of speed for my needs. ATA and a 12" stab are no problems hunting from a tree stand. :darkbeer:

if you have a press and a draw board you can get a very nice valley. They are touchy but if tuned they right they are butter smooth

For all you guys getting a good valley tuned to the third dot..are these `09 gt 500`s? Are there some of you with the `08.5 model also getting a good valley as well?
