Hey guys, this was my first year hunting elk. I bowhunted the mountains for the first time. I didnt get to hunt as many days as I wanted and ended up hunting solo.
I was able to get on some cows and bumped a bull out of his bed. For more or less doing research and picking a place on a map I can’t complain. I found lots of sign but my fitness and lack of knowledge were the most limiting factors.
As I begin to think about next year I am wanting to really work on learning strategies for season and behavior. All of that to say from the podcasts I’ve listened to, Cory Jacobsen and elk101 course is very appealing but I am also curious about Chris Roe and Roe Hunting Resources. From what I have heard from these guys, I don’t think they are mutually exclusive and I am sure that I could learn a great deal from both. I would really like to hear your opinions on these two products!
Thank you,
Sam J.
