Who is a good person to talk to.....a couple of good ole arkansas boys wanting to go elk or antelope hunting at a reasonable price....someone who knows where we can hunt and tags and license prices,,,,,,lodging etc.?
Lodging on an elk hunt is a tent set up at least 4 miles from the nearest trailhead. If you're looking for some names of good tents, backpacks etc. let me know. Just make sure you're in good shape.
I'm heading to the Smith Sheep Ranch first week of Aug. for my first antelope hunt plus another crack at a muley (combo hunt). Great ranch with some great goats and the price is reasonable as it's a no frills hunting from a lodging and food standpoint but I'm used to roughing it a bit as you probably gathered from the above paragraph. Steve Gorr (360-435-4251) is the contact for the SSR. Let me know if you need more info.
