This is a question for the experienced elk hunters here! post your draw weight and arrow weight (and speed if known) and the furthest you shoot this setup while elk hunting. I'm just curious because I'm thinking of lowering my poundage to 60lbs but not sure if I'll have enough KE at 45 - 50 yards, with 390 grain arrow with fixed blade montec? Thanks

If your lowering your poundage you might want to look into getting more arrow weight (so that you conserve your down-range momentum).

60 lbs is plenty of pull. It may limit some of your shot choices due to range or animal position, but it'll get it done easily if you do everything right.

As far as the "personal" info...I'll just say its more than the numbers you listed as I don't need the ethics police to come after me.
