I saw Lusk's review of them and they did well, so I thought I'd pick up a pack for $25. They fly about as expected for a solid 4 blade with a decent cut. The ferrule seems plenty strong with how short it is.

The biggest flaws I see in it are the split secondary blade and the blade quality. The blade edges on all 3 in the pack I bought were horrendous. You can see the divots and rough edges with the naked eye. I don't know if Lusk was given a hand-picked batch from the company, but I don't see how the blades on mine would have scored as well on sharpness as his did. They also don't offer any replacement blades.

They are mighty tempting at the price point, but I'd save your money and get Magnus, Exodus, TOTA, or some other mid-grade broadheads.

I completely agree. The pack they sent Lusk was suspicious. My 2 packs had terrible edges - crazy burrs on them. They might as well come unassembled and you can sharpen yourself. Hard pass on these in the future for me - I'd pay $5 more for a slightly higher quality. It's also a complete ripoff of the Sanford Innovations head unless they bought them out.

@BladeSledSharpener worked great on them though. The problem is the bevels aren't even consistent side to side..

If you want inexpensive heads - Buy the RAD Madman broadheads ($40 for 5). They actually have quality steel blades. Next level up I'd go OzCut 3b on sale ($27ish for 3). Then you're in the made in US Exodus, RAD Rival, Magnus, TOA, Grim Reaper or even the G5 Striker. Next level VPA 3b, Cutthroat 3b, RAD Ti series, Evolution, etc for $60. These are all really damn good heads so I don't see much reason to go more expensive than that. Feel free to though!

I wish I had seen this review before I bought mine. Order 2 packs of the X-series and two packs of the Y-series. The broadheads they sent to Liam were clearly handpicked. The packs I received are very dull and the edges are seriously questionable. I can sharpen them but I don’t have an Allen Key small enough and this was not provided with the broadheads. If you are reading this, I’d give these broadheads a hard pass and buy either QAD Exodus or Slick Trick Magnums. Viper tricks are also an amazing option or Magnus Black Hornets. All of those broadheads are around the same price and razor sharp out of the packet.

Thanks for the quick write up. If looking for an inexpensive fixed blade but really good quality, right now my money is on crimson talon. Everything is two blade single bevel right now. The strength is all in quality and thickness of that tool steel of their blades. The ferrule just connects it to the arrow. I wonder if they will ever try to make 4 blade head with the same quality of blades. I also wonder if it’s even necessary to have more than two blades when those two are single bevel and 1.5” like the croc.

Great point. I'd like to see their other heads get the higher quality steel. The 420 J2 doesn't cut it for me. I'd pay a hair more for it, they're already a great value. As far as the 1.5 cut vs 4b - It depends on the cut diameter IMHO.

Yeah the ones I got sucked also, and yep I bet lusk gets nice hand picked ones and they even Sharpen them for him probably cause none of my sevr ever came that sharp.

With him calling companies or companies asking him to do tests or their heads of course they will send out their best or enhanced ones to him. I'm not saying all companies would but it seems like some do.

When he use to get heads from ppl that sent them in it was a more apple to apples. (I've sent him about a dz different heads over the years)
