The thing I don’t like about weight collars is it’s 2 more surfaces to add concentricity issues

 

The thing I didn't like about the Exact 4 blades was that the blade edges were the worst quality I've ever seen out of the package on any broadhead. They all had visible gouges and scoring on the blade bevels. I also don't like the split tip design at all.

 

Seconded absolutely garbage blade quality. Zero QC and effort put into them. That brass collar looks like it would slam the brakes on once you hit something. I'd skip that and get a tungsten collar from Swat or Afflictor.

I like the designs though, too bad they aren't theirs. I'm 99.9% sure they are just repackaging chinese heads and throwing them in their box to rattle to your door in. Their 4 blade is the exact design of the old Sanford Innovations head. Which got ripped off and Chinese companies were selling them for next to nothing on Ebay and the like. Then their 3 blade has been on Amazon for years before Exact "released" it. Same head.

 

The brass collar must also be a “spreader” to help keep the wound channel open.

 

Here you go. You can get 6 and a hard case for $12. Same heads Exact is selling for $23 a 3 pack.

Ironically, I had bought one of these ebay ones and they were sharper than Exact 🤣

Half the blades rattled like crazy though. But you could piece together 3 of the 6 for $12 still lol

 

I have a friend who got 100 broad heads for like $150 (aud, so $110 usd) delivered. He has no issue with loosing them or worrying about sharpening. They fly good, and it's been over 5 years now and will never need to buy another in his life time.

I ordered 12 heads from Exact and none of them will get sent at a deer. I am super OCD about the sharpness of my heads and these heads do not sharpen. They definitely aren't too hard because plenty of material is coming off. But a razor sharp edge is not achievable. My blades also looked very similar to the ones posted. And their answer to me was to buy the sharpener they offer. My work-sharp elite does a much better job than a cheap Chinese double bevel sharpener.

I already messaged you about a year and a half ago after I received them. I sent pictures of the big gouges and rough blade bevels that could be easily seen with the naked eye. If those are German made than they were made at the end of Octoberfest by a drunk machinist.

The last pic (outside) was the best looking one of the 3 I received.

Nah, you can keep my money. I've moved on to better quality options from more trustworthy brands. I would not buy from Exact again, nor would I suggest anyone buy from Exact. I would be embarrassed to let blades that look like that ship out.

Im a fixed head guy, and really like the look of the Y series and also X series, however being in AU, im not aware of any distributor, so will will have to stay with the QAD exodus.

Mostly whitetails with some turkey mixed in. Elk every few years.

The Exact 4 blades are now my squirrel heads.
