I am just curious as to the benefits of an extendable sight? Specifically I am looking at buying the Truglo Super Slam 5-Pin Micro Adjust, because I would like to buy a good dual purpose sight for hunting and 3D Shooting. I want a 5-Pin Sight with micro adjust and preferablly wrapped fiber optics that also has the pins in variable sizes (Ex. 0.29 and .019 pins)

Would also take suggestions on other sights.

Extension bar serves two purposes...

1. It will allow you to match ( align rings ) sight housing to your peep
2. Extending a sight forward allows for better fine adjustment of pins/dots - this is pretty handy at long distance shooting

Thanks jack, after some carefull research I think I am going to try out either a truglo super slam or truglo micro bright. This will be my first sight with an extendable bracket and from what I can tell it seems pretty good for the price!
