I'm interested... what is the rubber peice in the background hand how does the paint look?... can't tell but looks a little chip... is it? Or am I just seeing things

The rubber piece is a Limbsaver piece. paint is decent. Retainer ring has what looks to be silver paint marker on it. Had a piece of masking tape over fiber to reduce pin brightness some of the residue still there
