Been out of the game for a few years and just bought a new bow to replace my elite impulse. I have a QAD rest but what is everyone’s favorite?

I have some version of Vaportrail on my bows. Never had a failure or even a second of trouble out of them. Over the years, the only rests I’ve sent in for warranty repair was a QAD and a Ripcord.

Its going to be very hard for me to not put a Hamskea on every single bow I buy for the remainder of my life. I don't know how good the Epsilon 2 is, but version 1 is just incredible. I prefer the limb driven rests too because I love to tinker and you don't need a press to mess with it.

I have had both Hamskea and QAD. I have personally liked the Hamskea better. I will say this, I was a QAD guy for years, until I watched one fail.

Long story short, friend of mine had a nice bull that he shot 4, yes 4, arrows at. Guy is a really good shooter and none of the shots were anywhere remotely close. I can't believe the bull stuck around as long as he did, but he did. We got back to base camp and found that the rest was not dropping all the way down. It was even peeling some of his fletching's off because it was still so vertical after the release.

It was a really dry year. Come to find out, some dust had gotten into the mechanism and was causing the launcher to not drop out of the way completely. Watched him shoot all week with no issue and then it fails with a bull in bow range. That was a tough one to be a part of...

I personally have never had any issues and every QAD I have used has been flawless. I have switched to the Hamskea solely for the fact that (in my mind) as long as the limb is moving, the rest is dropping.

After all the talk on here I tied an epsilon…meh, it’s loud, louder then a vaportrail for sure. Built well but heavy and loud. Every single time I’ve tried a drop away, prolly a dozen of them on hunting bows I always end up back to the greatest hunting rest of all time….a whisker biscuit.

they shoot just as accurate as a drop away and are more reliable imo. Every hunting compound only gets them, they just flat out work.

QAD for me, but all of mine are at least a few years old. The HDX and MXT have treated me fine. I do know others have reported issues but none for me. The build quality of the Hamskea has always sounded apealing, and I have looked at them, but the seem complicated to me.... I'm sure that's a me problem.
